I am an independent voice for our students, parents, and teachers.

As a School Board Member, I partnered with parents and grandparents, so they were a part of the decision process on what is being taught. The results speak for themselves:

  • Saved taxpayer dollars

  • Improved test scores

  • Increased graduation rates

  • Higher teacher retention

When re-elected, I will continue to represent those interests and put students first.

Good teachers are passionate about their students’ education.  They must continue to be heard and have the resources they need to provide the best education possible.

Born and raised in Moab, Utah, Angela moved to Grand Junction in 1985 and has proudly called the Grand Valley home ever since. After teaching across the U.S. and abroad, she returned to open The Salon Professional Academy, an accredited, Title IV-approved institution.

Under her leadership, the Academy has empowered over 700 graduates with post-secondary education and career-ready skills, giving Angela deep insight into the academic and life skills of District 51 graduates. As a successful business owner since 1998, Angela has employed Coloradans and navigated complex government regulations, compliance, accounting, and finance. Her extensive experience equips her with a unique perspective on the needs of students, teachers, and District 51.

Angela believes students deserve a strong foundational education to thrive in adulthood, whether pursuing further education or entering the workforce. She is committed to supporting teachers with the resources and district backing they need to succeed. Above all, Angela prioritizes fiscal responsibility to ensure District 51 remains stable and effective in delivering quality education.
